BERKELEY - The 10th-ranked California women's gymnastics will begin postseason play as they compete for the Pac-12 Championship on Saturday night. The Bears will travel to West Valley City, Utah for the Pac-12 Championship at the Maverik Center. Cal will be in the night session along with Utah, Arizona State and Oregon State, which will start at 6 p.m. MT/5 PM PT.

All four teams in the night session tied for the regular season Pac-12 Championship as they all went 5-2 in Pac-12 conference play. By winning a share of the Pac-12 title, Cal captured their first-ever conference championship.

Last year at the Pac-12 Championship, Cal put up their best-ever Pac-12 score at 197.375 and had their best-ever finish as they took second place behind the hometown Utes.

Cal comes into the meet after a fantastic Senior Day meet on Sunday. The Bears put up the second-highest team total in school history at 197.900. They also set a program record on floor at 49.600. They also had the second-best bars score (49.625) and fourth-best beam score (49.450) in Cal history. Maya Bordas had the fifth-highest all-around score in school history at 39.600, while Milan Clausi was named Pac-12 Specialist of the Week after recording three event wins across Cal's two weekend meets and setting or tying career highs on beam and floor. Clausi scored a 9.925 on beam and 9.95 on floor and won both events vs. Iowa on Sunday.

RESETTING RECORD BOOKS
The Bears reset the school's record books in their home finale vs. Iowa. Cal recorded a 197.900 score, the second-highest team total in school history. The Bears did that by setting a program record on floor at 49.600. They received four 9.90+ floor scores on the day, all from seniors in their last home meet. Cal also recorded the second-best bars score in school history with 49.625 as four Bears went 9.925+. If that wasn't enough, Cal had the fourth-best beam score in school history at 49.450, which was just .050 from the school record.

CLAUSI NAMED SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Milan Clausi was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week on 3/15. She recorded three first place finishes and a second-place finish in two meets. At Ohio State, Clausi took first place on the vault with a 9.85 score. She also recorded top-five finishes on both the beam and floor as she notched 9.875 on beam and 9.90 on floor. In her final home meet at Haas Pavilion, Clausi set a personal best on beam with a 9.925 as she took first place. She tied her career high on floor with a 9.95 score and also won the event.

PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP
Cal won the first six meets of the year and started 5-0 in Pac-12 meets. After defeating No. 3 Utah, the Bears put themselves in a position to claim a share of the Pac-12 Regular Season Championship. The win was Cal's first ever Pac-12 title (regular season or at the championship). Cal will share the regular season honors with Utah, Arizona State and Oregon State.
