BERKELEY – ESPN will televise Cal's first night game of the 2022 season against Washington on Saturday, October 22 with the Pac-12 After Dark contest kicking off from FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium at 7:30 pm PT. A trio of former Cal football players – Ahmad Anderson, Justin Forsett and Marshawn Lynch – will be among 11 honored during a halftime ceremony the evening after they are formally inducted into the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame during an on-campus ceremony Friday.

Cal and Washington have split four games since Travers Family Head Football Coach Justin Wilcox took over the Golden Bears' program in 2017 including back-to-back Cal wins over a pair of ranked Husky teams in 2018 and 2019. Cal knocked off a No. 15/13 Washington squad, 12-10, on the strength of Evan Weaver's pick-six late in the third quarter the last time they played in Berkeley in 2018. The following season Cal was a 20-19 winner over a No. 14/12 Washington team on a wild night in Seattle when the game was delayed in the first quarter by two hours and 39 minutes due to lightning and ended at 1:22 am. Cal's Greg Thomas made a chip shot 17-yard field with 0:08 seconds remaining to cap a 74-yard drive for the win. Washington had a dramatic 31-24 overtime victory over the Bears the last time they met in 2021 when current Cal linebacker Jackson Sirmon forced a fumble in the extra period and were a 38-7 winner in Seattle in 2017. The 2020 scheduled meeting between the teams was canceled by COVID.

Additional information on the all-time series can be found at CalBears.com.

Cal (3-2, 1-1 Pac-12) and Washington (4-2, 1-2 Pac-12) both play this Saturday before their October 22 meeting with the Bears visiting Colorado (0-5, 0-2 Pac-12, Noon MT/11 am PT) and the Huskies hosting Arizona (3-3, 1-2 Pac-12, 2:30 pm PT). Both of those games will be televised on Pac-12 Network.

The kickoff times and television broadcast networks for all of Cal's remaining scheduled games during the 2022 campaign other than the regular-season finale against UCLA (Nov. 25, 1:30 pm PT, FOX) will be announced either six or 12 days in advance. Cal will play four of its final six regular-season games at home beginning with the Washington contest with Oregon (Oct. 29), Stanford (Nov. 19) and UCLA also still on the remaining home docket.

Radio broadcasts of all Cal football games can be heard live on 810 AM, the Golden Bears Sports Network powered by the Northern California Toyota Dealers, The Varsity Network App and Sirius XM.
