Golden Bears To Open 2021 Campaign By Hosting Nevada Sept. 4.

BERKELEY – Cal will report Thursday afternoon to its 2021 training camp and hold the first practice at California Memorial Stadium on Friday, Aug. 6. Nine of the team's workouts including each of the first eight and the first three Saturdays (August 6-9, 11-14, 21) are scheduled to be open to the public. All practices are slated to begin at 9:30 am. Admission is free and attendees can enter California Memorial Stadium through Gate 2 located in the Northwest corner of the stadium with seating available on the west side of the stadium in Sections E, EE, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, I and II. All other sections of the stadium including the field and North Tunnel will be closed to public access. All guests in attendance are required to wear masks.

Cal will begin its 2021 season under the lights by hosting Nevada in a FS1 nationally-televised game at California Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 4 with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Kickoff times and broadcast television have also been announced for the Golden Bears' other two non-conference games at TCU (Sept. 11, 2:30 p.m. CT/12:30 p.m. PT, ESPNU) and against Sacramento State (Sept. 18, 1 p.m., Pac-12 Bay Area), as well as a Friday night Pac-12 North showdown at Oregon (Oct. 15, 7:30 p.m., ESPN).

All remaining television selections and start times will be made 12 or six days in advance. Fans can also listen to all Cal football games live on KGO 810 AM, the Cal Bears Sports Network powered by Learfield IMG College, SiriusXM and CalBears.com via TuneIn.

Cal will also host three October contests against Washington State (Oct. 2, Homecoming), Colorado (Oct. 23) and Oregon State (Oct. 30, Hall of Fame Weekend) before wrapping up its six-game home slate with USC (Nov. 13) for its annual Joe Roth Game and Senior Day. The Bears' other four road contests are Pac-12 trips to Washington (Sept. 25), Arizona (Nov. 6), Stanford (Nov. 20) and UCLA (Nov. 27).

Cal is expected to be at 100 percent capacity for all fall outdoor sports including football. Full details regarding health and safety protocols, which will be in alignment with state guidelines, will be announced prior to the start of the seasons for all fall sports.
