BERKELEY - Challenged to learn a new position, adapt to college life and perform in one of the nation's most competitive conferences, Cal first baseman Andrew Vaughn has had plenty thrown his way in his first season as a Golden Bear.

Consider that challenge accepted.

The freshman from Santa Rosa, Calif. enters the final week of the 2017 regular season as the Pac-12 leader in home runs and ranks in the top 10 in batting average, slugging percentage, hits and RBI. He leads all Pac-12 freshmen in each of those categories while also authoring some of Cal's most memorable moments as he hit not one but two walk-off home runs to help the Bears sweep USC earlier in the season.

Vaughn and the Bears wrap up the regular season this weekend at Arizona with three games against the Wildcats. The series begins Friday at 7:05 p.m., continues Saturday at 7:05 and concludes Sunday with a 1:35 p.m. first pitch. All three games will be broadcast live by Pac-12 Networks.
