BERKELEY – While the Cal women's water polo program is already well-represented at the ongoing FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, the Golden Bears will continue to make an impact this summer at other upcoming international tournaments.

USA Water Polo announced Thursday the rosters for both the FINA Junior World Championships and World University Games, and Cal will have representatives in each event. The U.S. Junior National Team will be coached by Cal head coach Coralie Simmons while junior goalie Madison Tagg will serve as an alternate. The FINA Junior World Championships run Sept. 3-9 in Volos, Greece.

Meanwhile, recently graduated driver Stephanie Mutafyan has been named one of 13 members of the United States World University Games Team. The event takes place Aug. 18-30 in Taipei, Taiwan. Mutafyan won a gold medal in 2015 at the FINA Junior World Championships.

There are currently four Golden Bears competing at the FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary – seniors Dora Antal and Anna Illes are playing for the host Hungarians while sophomore Emma Wright and alum Kelly McKee are competing for Team Canada. Hungary won its group Thursday and has advanced to Monday's quarterfinals while Canada plays in another preliminary round game on Saturday.

The Bears advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships last season and finished the year ranked No. 4 in the country.
